Two Molded Stoneware Inkwells, Made for J. C. Blair, Huntingdon, PA, late 19th century, both inkwells of related diminutive, cylindrical form with scalloped base, recessed underside, and recessed opening in top, the surface covered in Albany slip. One with cork in the opening bearing a paper label reading "THE KEYSTONE / UNCHANGEABLE / JET BLACK INK / J. C. BLAIR / M'F'G. STAT'R / Huntingdon, Pa." Blair, who began business in 1880, was a manufacturing stationer who marketed inkwells of various materials including stoneware and glass. H (of both) 2 1/2" ; D (of both) 2".
