Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1875-1880, both of cylindrical form, one with the scrolled maker's stenciling, "JAS. HAMILTON & CO. / MANUFACTURERS / GREENSBORO. PA," circa 1875, the other stenciled "T.F. REPPERT. / SUCCESSOR TO / JAS. HAMILTON & CO. / GREENSBORO. PA." Hamilton jar with chips to shoulder molding, a salt glob on reverse, some exfoliation to rim, and some staining to upper body. Reppert jar with chips to shoulder molding, a few tiny nicks to inner rim for lid, light surface wear, and a small glazed-over ping near base. H (of taller) 10".
