LULLEY. / 616 / PENN AVE. / WASHINGTON, / D.C.," Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1875, semi-ovoid pitcher with tall, flaring collar and tooled rim, featuring stenciled advertising for the female merchant, Elizabeth Lulley. Large freehand floral motifs to collar flanked above and below by graduated swags. Freehand stripe decoration to rim, midsection, and base. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. One of a few Lulley pitchers known and the first that we have offered. Missing handle. Otherwise excellent condition. H 12 1/4".
