×Two Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1880, an ovoid jar with tall collar and applied lug handles, brush-decorated with foliate motifs on the front and reverse; paired with a swag-decorated lid. Jar with a 1" shallow base flake, a chip to one handle, and a 3" hairline from rim. Lid in excellent condition with two minor nicks to flange on underside and a few short, faint lines from edge. H (of jar) 9 5/8" ; Diam. (of lid) 9".
