Three Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, PA origin, circa 1860-1880, all of cylindrical form with squared rims, a one-and-a-half-gallon jar with drooping floral motif and a smaller jar with swag decoration, both attributed to R.J. Grier, Chester County, PA, circa 1880; together with another swag-decorated jar by an unknown maker. Larger Grier jar with a firing crack on interior of rim area, otherwise excellent condition. Smaller Grier jar with broken and reglued base. Third jar with a small rim chip and some traces of old paint to surface. H (of tallest) 10 7/8".
