Two Pieces of White's Utica Molded Stoneware, NY State origin, late 19th or early 20th century, a lidded tobacco jar with relief horse's head and cobalt highlights, including its original paper label on underside with advertising for "J.C. DILL, / FACTORY No. 25, / Second District / Richmond, Virginia." Paired with a cobalt-highlighted match safe featuring the impressed advertising, "WESTCOTT & PARKER / DEALERS IN COAL / & / WOOD / UTICA, N.Y. / OPPOSITE CITY HALL / TELEPHONE 236." Tobacco jar with chips to lid, in otherwise excellent condition. Match safe in excellent, essentially as-made condition. H (of tobacco jar, including lid) 5 1/2".
