Two Pieces of Molded Stoneware with "BARDWELL'S ROOT BEER" Advertising, attributed to the White's Pottery, Utica, NY, late 19th century, a Bristol-slip-glazed canteen with relief elk motif, paired with a salt-glazed pitcher with tavern scenes, each with cobalt highlights throughout. Small spout chips. Canteen with an in-the-firing chip to underside of one foot, an in-the-firing crack to underside of other foot, and two in-the-firing contact marks to underside. Pitcher with a chip to bottom of foot, a short U-shaped surface crack in foot, and some wear to handle. H (of canteen) 11 1/2".
