Two One-Gallon Stoneware Jugs with Cobalt Pine Tree Decorations, NY State origin, circa 1885, both of cylindrical form with slip-trailed stylized pine tree motifs, one stamped "BINGHAMTON. N. Y.," the other stamped "N.A. WHITE & SON / UTICA, N.Y." Taller with some glazed-over chipping to spout, a small base chip with a 5 3/4" Y-shaped line ascending front, a minor glazed-over base chip, and some staining. Shorter in excellent condition with a small glazed-over base chip, an in-the-firing contact mark to side of jug, some old blue paint to shoulder, and minor staining. H (of taller) 12".
