Two Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, American, third quarter 19th century, a two-gallon ovoid jar with slip-trailed triple-stemmed floral motif, stamped "GEDDES, N.Y.;" paired with a two-gallon cylindrical crock with brushed upswept floral motif beside a freehand "2." Geddes jar with heavy water glass staining to surface, a 4 1/2" Y-shaped line to reverse, a small chip to proper left handle, and a minor nick to interior of rim. Midwestern crock significant surface wear and shallow chipping to handles. H (of ovoid jar) 10".
