Six-Gallon Stoneware Water Cooler with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "SATTERLEE & MORY / FORT EDWARD N.Y.," circa 1870, cylindrical cooler with two applied handles, squared spout, and circular bunghole, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a circular flower bud emanating from a heart-shaped foliate motif. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Two spout chips to reverse. Staining and small spots of old light-blue paint to surface. Some fry to cobalt. A small in-the-firing ping to left side of cooler. H 19 1/4".
