×Three Stoneware Jugs with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "BALLARD VALE / STONE WARE.MF.G.C," circa 1885, two one-gallon jugs and one two-gallon jug, all of cylindrical form with slip-trailed foliate motifs. One one-gallon jug with two small chips to underside at edge, some fry to cobalt, a glazed-over chip to handle, a few in-the-firing pings to surface, and a small U-shaped line in spout. Other one-gallon jug in excellent, essentially as-made condition with some light fry to cobalt. Two-gallon jug with a faint X-shaped line in underside, a short in-the-firing separation in spout, and minor chipping to interior of spout. H (of tallest) 14 1/2".
