Large-Sized Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Inkwell, NY State origin, second or third quarter 19th century, wide, cylindrical form with recessed opening in top surrounded six quill holes. Slip-trailed cobalt spots and banding to top and banding around body. A 2" rim chip and 5/8" rim chip. Some fry to cobalt. A small piece of adhered clay to underside. Diam. 5 7/8" ; H 2 1/8".
