×Scarce Twelve-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Marching Man Decoration, OH origin, circa 1880, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a stylized slip-trailed design of a man with broad-brimmed hat in marching stance, below a cobalt-script "12." A wide top-to-bottom crack on reverse, continuing 9" onto underside. A 3" base chip. A 14" crack and a 13" crack from rim on front. An 8 1/2" crack from rim on reverse. H 16 1/4".
