Three Stoneware Crocks with Cobalt Dates, Northeastern U.S. origin, second half 19th century, all three cylindrical crocks, the first stamped "HAXSTUN & CO. / FORT EDWARD, N. Y." decorated with a slip-trailed wreath surrounding the date "1876"; the second stamped "OTTMAN BRO'S / FORT EDWARD, N.Y." decorated with a slip-trailed wreath surrounding the date "1881"; the third stamped "F. B. NORTON & CO / WORCESTER MASS" decorated with an elaborate slip-trailed design of crossed leaves accented with spirals, surrounding the date, "1868." H (of tallest) 12 7/8". 1876 crock with repaired right handle, scattered filled flaking, mostly on right side, other lesser damage including flaking on underside. 1881 crock with rim chip and flaking throughout, some deep. 1868 crock with top-to-bottom crack to right of decoration, interior rim chips, and scattered light flaking, mostly towards base.
