Three Pieces of Stoneware with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Ballardvale, MA origin, circa 1885, all with related slip-trailed bird-on-branch motifs, two-gallon and three-gallon cylindrical crocks, together with a three-gallon jar. Two-gallon crock in excellent condition with some light water glass staining. Three-gallon crock with a 1 1/8" rim chip on reverse and a small chip to proper left handle. Three-gallon jar with heavy chipping to rim, two small chips and light wear to inner rim for lid, a thin 3" crack from rim on reverse, staining to surface, and an in-the-firing iron ping to front. H (of tallest) 12 3/4".
