Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Chicken Pecking Corn Decoration, attributed to Brady & Ryan, Ellenville, NY, circa 1885, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with slip-trailed design of a chicken pecking kernels of corn from a stylized ground flanked by shrubs. A 7 3/4" crack from rim on reverse. A 5" hairline descending from shoulder to midsection on reverse. Staining to surface. Chips to interior of rim and a small chip to exterior of rim. H 10 3/8".
