×Two One-Gallon Stoneware Jugs with Cobalt Bird Decorations, NY State origin, third quarter 19th century, both of cylindrical form, one with slip-trailed bird with dashed body on stylized ground, stamped "WHITE'S UTICA," the other with slip-trailed crested bird on leaf, stamped "J.A. & C.W. UNDERWOOD / FORT EDWARD, N.Y." White's Utica jug in very nice condition with staining to surface and some minor in-the-firing pings. Fort Edward jug with long in-the-firing lines to base and some fry to cobalt. H (of taller) 11 3/4".
