Three Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, NY State origin, third quarter 19th century, a one-gallon ovoid jar with brushed floral decoration, stamped on reverse "JACOB CAIRE / POTTERY / POUGHKEEPSIE;" a four-gallon ovoid jar with elaborate slip-trailed floral decoration, stamped "N CLARK JR / ATHENS NY;" and a one-gallon ovoid jar with a brushed floral motif, attributed to Nathan Clark, Jr., Athens, NY. Caire jar with a 3 1/2" line from rim. Signed N. Clark, Jr. jar with two small rim chips and a minor rim nick, exfoliation to front, and some fry to cobalt. Unsigned jar with two small chips to interior of rim and nicks and wear to inner rim for lid. H (of tallest) 11 1/4".
