Two One-Gallon Stoneware Pitchers with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Somerset Potters Works, Somerset, MA, second half 19th century, an ovoid pitcher with brushed and slip-trailed crossed leaves and stylized slip-trailed motifs, paired with a cylindrical pitcher with slip-trailed floral motif and tin lid. Ovoid pitcher with iron make-do handle surrounded by wooden caning, a few rim chips, a minor base chip, a short crack from rim above handle, and minor bubbling to cobalt. Cylindrical pitcher in excellent, essentially as-made condition. H (of ovoid pitcher) 10 1/2".
