NORTON & CO: / BENNINGTON VT.," circa 1860, cylindrical jar with applied lug handles and semi-rounded rim, decorated with a large slip-trailed floral spray embellished with curved and dotted trails. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. A large glazed-over flake to base on front. A faint 1 1/4" surface line at base on front, not visible on interior. A sealed 4 1/4" crack from rim on reverse. A few minor rim chips. H 9 1/4".
