Five-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Flowering Urn Decoration, Stamped "E & L P NORTON / BENNINGTON VT:," circa 1870, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, applied lug handles, and semi-rounded rim, decorated with an elaborate floral design emanating from a cross-hatched, open-handled urn. Cobalt accents to maker's mark. Areas of flaking to jar, some partially restored, including some flaked and touched-up areas to proper left side of decoration and proper right handle. A few salt drips to surface. H 12 3/4".
