Six-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Wreath Decoration, Stamped "BURGER & CO. / ROCHESTER N.Y.," circa 1875, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a wreath flanked by a number "6". Brushed cobalt highlight to maker's mark. Some fry to cobalt. A 1 1/4" chip to reverse end of proper left handle. A small chip to front end of proper right handle. Some small in-the-firing iron pings to surface. H 14 1/4".
