ROBERTS / BINGHAMTON.NY.," circa 1870, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, applied lug handles, and semi-rounded rim, decorated with a large slip-trailed design of a crested bird with striped and spotted body, perched on a flowering plant. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Excellent condition with tiny nick on interior of rim and minor staining. H 11 1/2".
