Rare Manganese-Decorated Redware Bank, New England origin, probably John Corliss, Day's Ferry, Woolwich, ME, circa 1824-1890, ovoid bank with footed base, tooled shoulder, rounded finial, and carved vertical slot, decorated with splashed manganese under a clear lead glaze. A lesser-seen form from this region. A 5/8" base chip. Finial with a small chip and minor wear. Minor chipping and light wear to slot. H 4".
