Two Glazed Redware Spittoons, Stamped "JOHN W. BELL / Waynesboro, Pa.," circa 1880, both with rounded rims and carved oval openings at the shoulder, each covered in a lead and manganese glaze. Each stamped with John W. Bell maker's mark on underside. Taller with flaking to underside, a small chip to opening at shoulder, and some glaze flakes to surface. Shorter with a base chip, base wear, two chips to shoulder, and wear to slot at shoulder. Dimensions (of taller): Diam. 6 3/4" ; H 4 1/4".
