Rare Glazed Redware Flowerpot, Stamped "UPTON M. BELL / Waynesboro, Pa.," circa 1895, flaring potted with semi-rounded rim and attached saucer, the surface covered in a streaky lead-and-manganese glaze over a mottled orange-to-olive ground. Impressed on underside with scarce Upton Martin Bell maker's mark, the last stamp used at John Bell's Waynesboro shop. Only the second marked Upton Bell flowerpot that we have offered. Very nice condition with some rim wear, traces of residue from use near base of pot, and some minor wear to rim of saucer. H 5 3/4".
