Lidded Redware Canning Jar, Stamped "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO'," PA origin, circa 1850-1880, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder and short, flaring rim, covered in a clear lead glaze over yellow clay ground. Includes original lead-glazed lid. Three short faint surface lines to underside, not visible on interior. Surface wear to shoulder. Rim chips. Wear to interior of rim. Chips to edge of lid and edge wear to knob area. H (including lid) 7 3/4".
