Glazed Redware Butter Tub, Stamped "JOHN BELL," Waynesboro, PA origin, circa 1850-1880, cylindrical form with raised banding to body, open ropetwist handles, and three molded and applied feet. Surface decorated with sponged manganese decoration and covered in a clear lead glaze. Impressed "JOHN BELL" under one handle. One handle reglued with chip along crack line. A minor in-the-firing lime ping to rim. H 4 5/8" ; Diam 6 3/4".
