Glazed Redware Ale Mug, Stamped "JOHN BELL," Waynesboro, PA origin, circa 1840-1880, ovoid-bodied mug with flaring collar, the surface covered in a streaky lead-and-manganese glaze. Underside impressed with John Bell maker's mark. Provenance: From a forty-five-year VA collection. Very nice condition with some minor surface wear, light rim wear, and some minor in-the-firing pings. H 5 1/8".
