Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "JOHN BURGER. / ROCHESTER," NY State origin, circa 1860, ovoid jug with semi-squared spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a daisy plant. Slip-trailed "2." above. Cobalt highlight to maker's mark. Very nice condition with a small spout chip, a faint horizontal hairline in handle, some light surface wear, and two minor base chips. H 14 1/8".
