Stoneware Canning Jar with Cobalt Stripe Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1880, tapering jar with semi-squared "wax sealer" rim, decorated with three freehand stripes. A few minor chips to inner rim for lid. A minor chip and a few minuscule nicks to interior of rim. A minor in-the-firing chip to base. An in-the-firing contact mark to proper right side of jar near base. Some light wear to midsection. H 8 1/4".
