Stoneware Canning Jar with Cobalt Stripe Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1880, cylindrical jar with recessed "wax sealer" rim, decorated with three freehand stripes. A 3/4" flake to exterior of rim, adjacent to two smaller chips on interior of rim. A few additional minor chips to interior of rim. Inner rim for lid with a 3/4" glazed-over chip and other minor chipping. A drip of brown residue to proper right side. Jar has a slight lean to rim. H 6 1/8".
