Three-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stamped "J. WEAVER," Beaver, PA, circa 1865, cylindrical jar with semi-rounded rim, applied lug handles, and tooled accents to the shoulder area, decorated with abstract foliate and daubed brushwork between three freehand stripes, applied over slip-coated clay. Brushed cobalt highlight to makers mark and handle terminals. Provenance: Crocker Farm, Inc., August 20, 2021, lot 308. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 12 3/4".
