×Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "HAMILTON & JONES / GREENSBORO. / PA.," circa 1875, semi-ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, featuring Hamilton & Jones maker's stenciling surrounding a scrolled stenciled design. Freehand stripes and vining above. Base with freehand "2" flanked by dashes, underscored by a stripe. Very nice condition with a 7/8" curved surface line to interior of rim, minor nicks to inner rim for lid, and some staining to reverse. H 12".
