Fine Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "B.C. MILBURN," Alexandria, VA origin, circa 1850, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-squared rim, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a tulip surrounding the maker's mark on the front and around the shoulder with five horizontal floral motifs in four different styles. Desirable size and slip-trailed treatment. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 7 1/2".
