One-Gallon Salt-Glazed Stoneware Jug, Stamped "J. SWANN / ALEXA," Alexandria, VA origin, circa 1820, ovoid jug with tooled shoulder and heavily-tooled spout. Provenance: From a forty-five-year VA collection. Very nice condition with some surface wear, two chips to underside at edge, and minor base wear. H 11 3/4".
