Rare Small-Sized Stoneware Pitcher, Stamped "H.C. SMITH / ALEXA / D.C.," circa 1835, squat-shaped, ovoid pitcher with tooled body and rim, the surface covered in a salt glaze. Desirable form and exceptional size. Provenance: From a forty-five-year VA collection. Very nice condition with a thin crack to lower handle terminal. H 6 3/4".
