Three-Gallon Lidded Stoneware Cake Crock with Cobalt Clover Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1880, wide, cylindrical crock with squared rim, and arched tab handles, brush-decorated on the front and reverse with horizontal clover motifs. Includes Baltimore stoneware lid with cobalt daub decoration, likely original to the cake crock. Crock with a 5" hairline to underside, a minor chip to one handle, and a chip to exterior of rim. Lid with chips to flange on underside and a short line from edge. Diam. 13" ;H (including lid) 9".
