One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1840, ovoid pitcher with slightly-flared collar, brush-decorated around the body with a swag and hanging flower motif. Swag decoration flanking the spout and stylized flower blossoms to sides of collar. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with a glaze drip descending from spout and a smaller glaze drip to proper left side of pitcher. H 12 1/2".
