Matching Pair of Two-Gallon Stoneware Jars with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1850, each of cylindrical form with tooled shoulders and squared rims, decorated with large fan-shaped floral and swag motifs. One in excellent, essentially as-made condition. The other in very nice, essentially as-made condition with some in-the-firing surface flaws, including matte glaze runs and a recessed spot, the rim slightly out-of-round with a very minor chip, minuscule nick, and two very minor in-the-firing pings. H (of each) 12 3/4".
