Baltimore, MD Stoneware Advertising Jug, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1870, ovoid jug with tooled shoulder and spout, impressed with the cobalt-highlighted advertising, "J.C. WHEELER / GROCERIES & LIQUORS. / 159 FOREST STREET / BALTIMORE." Two flakes to interior of spout. A few minor base chips. A tiny nick to side of handle. Two in-the-firing pings to shoulder area. (An old lamp attachment in the mouth of the jug, visible in photos, has since been successfully removed.) H 11".
