Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Clover Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1835, ovoid jar with squared rim and applied lug handles, brush-decorated with a bold four-blossomed clover plant motif on the front and reverse. Dashed decoration below each handle and highlights to handle terminals. Exceptional color. Very nice condition with a rim chip on one side and two in-the-firing contact marks to shoulder on opposing side. H 14".
