Rare Selection of Potter's Tools, Molds, and Ware Lists, American, 19th-20th century, a rare redware drape mold for a plate, incised "W N / March 1st 1864;" a plaster face pipe mold, impressed "PAT. AUG. 8. 1882;" five antique wooden potter's ribs/tools; a bisque slip-decorated redware dish, inscribed in pencil "White Lead / dry glaze / good for patching," attributed to the Stahl Pottery, Powder Valley, PA, circa 1935; two hanging panels with handwritten lists of ware and measurements, made of particle board and dry wall, attributed to the Stahl Pottery, Powder Valley, PA, circa 1935. Provenance: William Noelling mold acquired by the consignor at Witmer Auctions, October 15, 1983; a similar mold from this sale was fully inscribed "William Noelling." Dish and ware list panels acquired by the consignor at a sale for material from the defunct Stahl Pottery decades ago. Dish with a 2" firing crack from edge and a few small rim chips.
