Slip-Decorated Redware Loaf Dish, PA origin, second quarter 19th century, oblong form with rounded corners and coggled edge, the lead-glazed interior decorated in yellow slip with wavy trails, foliate devices, and flag-like designs. Provenance: A prominent Mid-Atlantic collection. Rim chips. As-made, lightly-glazed areas to edge. A thin 4" crack and thin 3 1/2" crack from edge. L 14 1/4".
