Slip-Decorated Redware Loaf Dish, PA origin, second quarter 19th century, oblong form with rounded corners and coggled edge, the lead-glazed interior profusely-decorated with wavy trails of cream-colored slip and two foliate devices. Provenance: A prominent Mid-Atlantic collection. Flakes and chips to rim. Some exfoliation to interior. The red spot on the interior is an as-made, unglazed area. L 13 7/8".
