Miniature Glazed Redware Spittoon, Rockingham County or New Market, VA origin, circa 1850-1880, cylindrical form with recessed top and carved rectangular opening at shoulder, the surface covered in a clear lead glaze. Unusual wavy line incising on underside. A chip to opening in top. A chip to opening at shoulder, and a 1" chip to underside along edge. Diam. 3 1/2" ; H 1 5/8".
