COWDEN / HARRISBURG," PA origin, circa 1880, ovoid form with tubular pouring spout, pierced clay tabs fitted with a wood-and-wire bail handle, and applied handle at base on reverse; decorated on the front with wreath-like brushwork at the base of the spout and on the reverse with a large abstract stenciled design. Brushed cobalt highlights to clay tabs. Includes tin lid. Some restoration to handle at base on reverse. Staining to surface. H 8 1/8".
