CROLIUS / MANUFACTURER / MANHATTAN-WELLS / NEW-YORK", circa 1810, ovoid jug with heavily-tooled spout, decorated with a brushed drape-like design surrounding the maker's mark. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and handle terminals. Two short vertical lines at base, probably in-the-firing. Other in-the-firing flaws to surface, typical of pieces of this age and origin. A minor nick to handle. H 12 1/2".
