Small-Sized Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jug, Lanier County, GA origin, fourth quarter 19th century, cylindrical jug with tooled shoulder and tapered spout, the surface covered in a streaky light-green alkaline glaze. Some in-the-making, glazed-over lines, typical of pieces of this origin. These lines are primarily relegated to the base area. There is additional in-the-making, glazed-over line below handle and short, in-the-making, glazed-over line to edge of handle. Three small spout chips. H 8 1/2".
