Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Face Jug with Rock Teeth, Signed "Lanier Meaders," Cleveland, GA, circa early 1970s, ovoid jug with hand-modeled and applied clay face including kaolin eyes with black-slip pupils, ears, pointed nose, open mouth with rock teeth, and broad chin. Surface covered in a mottled green alkaline glaze. Underside incised with Lanier Meaders signature. Losses to rock teeth possibly in-the-firing. H 10".
